My Skills

Skills are what we learn to do. To function in this world, it is essential to learn skills. And we may become very good at them. But we feel fulfilled when we spend most of our time on the skills we enjoy using.
This exercise is done in 2 steps.
Step 1
Fairly quickly and spontaneously, go through each of the skills and drag and drop them under the appropriate column headings according to how much you enjoy using that skill. Don't overthink, go with your instincts. There are no right or wrong answers, just what's right for you.
Step 2
Now sort each column into the rows according to how competent you feel you are at each skill. You're not comparing yourself to an expert. Think of it with regards to ‘am I better than most people from the general public at this?’ If the answer is ‘yes’ then drag and drop that skill into the row 'Better than most people’. Don’t be modest! If you’re unsure, give yourself the benefit of the doubt.
We are happier at work when we are spending most of our time using skills that we love and are good at in the top left corner of the grid.
